The COFRA brand guarantee is given by highly skilled competence as well as advanced technology, research and innovation. Quality policy consists into a strict system of technical and managerial procedures which involve research and development of reliable and safe products, selection of raw materials from qualified suppliers, regular control of the production process, post-sale technical assistance. This constant commitment to quality and excellence has gained its first achievement in 1997 when COFRA, the first shoe manufacturer in Italy and Europe, got the UNI EN ISO 9001 Certification for its Quality Management System. The adoption of a Quality Management System requires a constant involvement of personnel, is financially supported by the company, monitored by the Management, evaluated by our Customers and annually certified by an independent and recognized body.

COFRA and TME

Since 2017 "Tarlan Munai Energy" is the authorized distributor of "COFRA" in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In association with Italian partners we are researching the market of PPE in the region. We are in dialogue with our clients, take into account their needs and wishes and as a result we offer new models of workwear and footwear every season.

HISTORY

The COFRA company was established in 1938 by Ruggiero Cortellino as Cortelgomma, a small workshop where shoes were manufactured using the tyres of military trucks for the soles and military uniforms for the uppers.

The founder’s passion and enterprise let the small workshop turn into a company in few years, producing hundreds of pairs per day, distributed all over Italy.
In 1983 the company became COFRA which is now managed by Giuseppe Cortellino, the founder’s son, and the internationalization process has begun.

COFRA keeps on growing thanks to a wise and innovative management, which has led it to become a leader in the safety footwear market as well as a well-known brand in Europe and all over the world.
